3-pillar approach from a fascial perspective:

To address fascial health, a 3-pillar approach is recommended: manual therapy, movement therapy, and integrative medical care.

Manual Therapy:

  • Seek a therapist to work on densified, thickened fascia.
  • Choose the type of manual therapy that suits you—deep tissue for those who tolerate intense pressure, or lighter osteopathic techniques if you prefer gentler touch.

Movement Therapy:

  • Regular movement is crucial to keep the fascia gliding smoothly.
  • Work with a movement therapist based on your specific needs, especially if you find movement intimidating.

Medical Team:

  • A comprehensive care team will help address medications and medical workup.
  • A comprehensive care team should include a counselor/psychologist, specialist physicians, primary care provider, alternative healthcare provider, etc.
